Signing a lease shouldn't be a leap of faith

Renters are asked to commit thousands of dollars to a place they've only seen through staged photos and a listing description. Vouch closes that gap.

    Photos that don't match

Listings show the model unit. The apartment you're shown at the tour — or never shown at all — can look nothing like it.

    Fees revealed too late

Admin fees, parking, move-in costs, and utility markups often surface after you've already paid an application fee.

    No repair history

You can't see how fast a landlord fixed the heater last winter — the renters who lived there can tell you.

    Deposit disputes

Without a documented move-in record, getting your full deposit back becomes your word against theirs.

    GPS-verified walk-throughs in Nevada

Renters can view our unbiased, GPS-verified condition reports for absolutely free. If a property doesn't have one yet, use our tool to request that the landlord order one before you pay your deposit.

    Learn about the Vouch Passport

Three steps before you sign a lease

Most renters find out about the broken AC, the surprise fees, or the slow repairs after move-in. Vouch puts that information in front of you first.

    Step 1

Look up the address or landlord

Type a street address, apartment complex, or property manager name — results load in seconds, no account needed.

    Step 2

    Read what renters actually reported

Rent actually paid, move-in and application fees, how long repairs took, deposit returns, and the share of renters who said they'd sign again.

    Step 3

Sign knowing what you're walking into

Ask the right questions at the tour, budget for the real cost, and keep a record — reviews come from renters, and landlords can't edit or delete them.

    Why renters check Vouch first

Reviews are renter-reported; rentals are public listing data from RentCast, updated daily. Paid landlord plans never change reviews, ratings or scoring.

    Real rent, not listing price

See what tenants actually paid, including fees and deposit amounts.

    Reviews landlords can't delete

Read approved renter experiences. Moderators can hide reviews; landlords can't edit them.

How Vouch data works: sources, scores, and privacy

Vouch is built on renter-reported data. Here's where it comes from, what a Vouch Score means, how we protect your privacy, and what the information can — and can't — tell you.

    Where the data comes from

Reviews are renter-reported by signed-in users. Public rental listing data comes from RentCast and is updated daily. GPS-verified walk-through condition reports cover vacant units only, documented with the owner's written permission by independent field inspectors — never occupied homes.

    What a Vouch Score means

A Vouch Score is a 0–100 signal built only from renter-reported answers, including whether renters would choose the property again. It's calculated from a property's first approved review, carries less weight with only a few reviews, and updates as new experiences come in. It's a decision aid, not a verdict.

    How we protect your privacy

Reviews publish anonymously by default, addresses of occupied homes are masked, and Passport sample entries stay in the page session; shared previews contain no saved renter details.

    Read our Privacy Policy

    Limits of the information

Vouch data reflects individual experiences at a point in time, and some properties have few or no reviews yet. A walk-through documents condition on one date and is not a professional home inspection or a warranty of future condition.

    We're live.

Renters are judged, documented, and penalized for every mistake — through credit reports, references, and rental histories. Landlords and property managers often face no lasting consequences for neglect, unfair fees, or rent increases that aren't backed by real improvements.

That imbalance drives up housing costs and leaves renters with little recourse.

This app exists to change that — not through punishment, but through transparency.

Here, renters can share honest, first-hand experiences about the properties they lived in. Reports are shared by authenticated users, guided by clear standards, and focused on real conditions and outcomes — not accusations or personal attacks.

When experiences are visible, accountability follows.
And when accountability exists, rent has to reflect real value again.
